About Wychwood Dental

We are a general, family oriented, dental practice having six staff members and a dentist. We use a lot of specialized equipment including Same Day (CAD/CAM) Porcelain Restorations, and digital radiography. We see patients on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, on Wednesday from 10.30 am to 7.30 pm, and one Saturday of every month.

The practice was started by Dr. Kojo Lamptey in 1989. Dr. Lamptey and my father, Dr. Sol Laski, were classmates and sat beside each other throughout their four years of dental school. The practice has been open for almost thirty years now.

We are located in Wychwood Heights. While most of our patients are located around our office, we have patients driving in from all over the GTA and even further away to come to see us.

At the office, we are always striving to grow and improve the patient experience. The big shift in dentistry is the move towards more preventative treatment, but when treatment is required, being as conservative as possible. The recent technological advancements (digital x-rays, same day (CAD/CAM) porcelain restorations) help us identify issues before they turn into major problems, allowing for more conservative treatment.

Our patients vary from single young professionals to an entire family including parents, children and even grandparents. Our flexible hours and days help those with busy schedules that require appointments that work on their availability.

The relationship we have built with both our new and longtime patients makes us second to none in our line of work. We constantly get referrals of new patients from existing patients, and that trust and confidence in our care mean the world to all of us.

We are an office that takes our time with patients and tries not to rush any appointment whether a filling or a checkup. Spending the extra time to listen to our patients and get to know them better allows us to deliver exceptional, goal-oriented treatment. We also strive to always be on time so people can get on with their day and their busy schedules. This sets us apart from the rest of our competitors.

There are a lot of reasons why a potential client would choose our office. We are a family-oriented practice with flexible hours and days to fit the schedule demands of most young professionals and families. We pride ourselves on treating our patients the way we would want to be treated. We take extra steps to ensure that each patient’s visit is as comfortable and rewarding as possible.

Our dream for the future is to continue to grow through word-of-mouth and referrals from current patients. We are always accepting new patients.

While dentistry is our passion, we also care about protecting the environment and are in the process of becoming a paperless, chartless office, significantly reducing the amount of paper used on a daily basis. We also believe in giving back to society, and as part of that belief, we took part in the Alpha Omega Holocaust Survivor Program where we provided free dental care to survivors of the Holocaust living in the GTA.
